ORIGINAL ESSENTIAL QUESTION: How can I use landscapes, portraits, and fashion to give my audience a closer look at small towns and their people’s emotions?
Sustained Investigation #1
WHAT IF: I focused more on people and portraying their emotions, rather than focusing on small town locations?
Sustained Investigation #2
WHAT IF: I have my portrait subjects use more emotion, and have them tell a story with their style and body language?
Sustained Investigation #3
WHAT IF: I take these expressions of relationships outdoors, to where I went location hunting in my first sustained investigation?
Sustained Investigation #4
WHAT IF: I did these same locations with more serious expressions? Will the current weather affects that? What if I did more portraits, but with different people, maybe not couples? What if I used more props in my photoshoots to convey a message?
Sustained Investigation #5
UPDATED ESSENTIAL QUESTION: How can I capture the humane qualities people feel on the inside, that they are too afraid to express on the outside, through black & white portraits?
WHAT NOW?: Not sure where to go to from here:
- I love portraits, but they’re getting kinda old
- I feel as if I have more than enough photos, I don’t know what else I should do
- I liked photographing groups of people, but the backdrop space isn’t big enough for that and I can only fit so many people in my house
- I would also love to do more outdoor shoots like investigation #4, but it is so cold, and will still be for a while.
